Can I just say, this recipe is AMAZING! I make it with buttermilk(I leave out the lemon juice) and bread flour and top with honey butter. It is so delicious. Thank you for sharing this. It is now a staple!

I have a favorite two loaf bread recipe from my grandma I use to make bread, cinnamon rolls as well as hamburger buns and dinner rolls. You do need sugar to really give an umph to the yeast as well as better tasting bread products. I only use a 1/4 c and use two tsps from that 1/4c to sprinkle over the yeast. This bread recipe is tasty. Just so you know find a good bread recipe and use it for anything shape you want!!!

I would recommend just cutting in half if that's possible. Or you could use 3 Tbsp honey.

Can anyone answer? Is the sugar necessary for baking rolls?

This is a great recipe! The rolls turn out nice and fluffy. I like to make mine crescent shaped. This is the best one hour roll recipe that I have found!

I don't have a quick rise recipe for them but I have a non-yeasted cinnamon roll recipe that takes about 45 to 60 minutes to finish <a href="https://www.cookingclassy.com/45-minute-cinnamon-rolls-from-scratch/" target="_blank" rel="noopener ugc">here</a>.

Hi Linda, I also only use the regular yeast. I warm my liquid to 125 and change nothing else, my rolls are always done in 1 hour b

No it shouldn’t unless you are very high altitude. I’m at about 5,200 ft.
