Upcycle is to give something used new life, recycle is to break materials down and create into new materials so just two different meanings. Glad you enjoyed the recipe though.

One of the recipes is using whole spices then the other is if you have pre-ground spices on hand (which could be store bought pre-ground or others you had ground previously).

Love your recipes. Pls help as want to make this home made. Should i mix the grounded masalas to whole ones (After blending) or thats is diff if i want to make the blended powder. As u wrote whole nd powder quantity so getting confused.

Fennel seeds are never part of ingredients in North India while preparing garam masala. Remember these farmule for garam masala are originally from Northern India only. Rest all copied it & tried to innovate by adding fennel seeds & green cardamoms.
