Great bread, and E-Z recipe to follow...all the details are here. Thank you for sharing. The only change I made is I substituted canola oil for butter, and I did substitute whole milk buttermilk for milk in this recipe. Just a preference of mine. Thanks again, this must be a labor of love for you. You did well!

I really like this bread - turned out wonderfully. Thank you! P.S. please add the “cook mode” button as the recipe keeps changing positions as the ads change. Thanks again.

I make this bread almost weekly. It is my absolute favorite, and my neighbors love when I make a double batch as they agree it’s amazing as well. As a side note, I’ve also found it’s a perfect bread base recipe to make an Asiago herb bread for sandwiches. Add about 3/4 cup of Asiago cheese and a teaspoon each of oregano, rosemary, basil, onion powder, and garlic powder during the initial mix. Otherwise follow all the directions the same way. When it’s time for the second rise, top with some more Asiago. Then let rise and bake according to the directions. It’s absolutely superb!

This was my first time ever making homemade bread, and your recipe and descriptions are awesome! I think I need to work the dough a touch more after the first rise, but I'm pretty excited for my first loaf and can't wait for my second round! Thank you!
