They may work fine in an airfryer as well if you spray with a fair amount of olive oil or avocado oil cooking spray before airfrying.

Is there a way of making these in the airfryer instead to lesser some of the fat/oils?

Sorry to hear about the clumping! Next time maybe tap the onions a bit against the dish to help remove a little more of the egg mixture to help prevent the clumping. So glad you enjoyed them though!

Liked this a lot. The batter smelled so good. The only thing is after the first two batches the breadcrumbs clumped up and stopped sticking to the onions. However, the ones I was able to complete tasted very good.
