Just cut into the bars. Caramel layer disappeared and were fingers were greasy after putting on plate. I still give it a five star rating as taste was still crunchy with an intense chocolate taste. I will use heavy whipping cream for the caramel next time I make it. I also only had a 9x9 baking pan but just bought an 8x8 pan. I'll repost after my next attempt!

Made your recipe for caramel sauce. Only had half and half so used that. Came out caramely and creamy and yummy anyway. This recipe is truly awesome for the crunch, chocolate carmely bite!!

I would try canned coconut cream.

These look, sound so good! However, our household cannot do real whipping cream . Can anything be substituted?

Hi! This recipe is absolutely the best! I have made it many times before and wanted to share the recipe with friends. Although I made a few modifications, I still wanted to see if you were alright with me doing so. It will not be published, but I could reference you as the inspiration and source of recipe if you'd like.
Thank you.

It probably would work but you wouldn’t want to use as much since it isn’t as thick maybe 1/3 cup.
