The Perfect Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe!

I’ve been making this at least once a week lately because it’s creamy, filling, and perfectly delicious and it’s such a refreshing start to the morning. Plus, even my kids love it!

It’s one of those super quick recipes and it makes a great on-the-go breakfast or after-school snack. You can rely on frozen fruit instead of fresh berries, or take a turn towards a green smoothie by blending in some spinach or kale. It’s a great way to get in some extra veggies (shhhh… don’t tell the kids!). The variations are endless, so make it your own!

Can I Use Dairy Milk?

Yes, you can use dairy or dairy-free milk. If I’m making it for my kids I prefer to use cow’s milk, and it’s a nice creamy texture that way but it could use the boost of an extra teaspoon of honey. Non-dairy milk can be great for vegan breakfasts but also for the consistency and flavor you like.

I love that this is more of a balanced and filling smoothie with Greek yogurt and oats – so you get a whole grain, some added protein from the Greek yogurt plus the probiotics that come with it. You can add even more healthy ingredients, like protein powder, chia seeds, hemp seeds, some acai for antioxidants, or any other nutrients you’re trying to increase in your diet.

If you’d prefer you can leave the Greek yogurt out to cut calories just add some more milk to make up for it. Either way, you’ll love this Strawberry Banana Oat Smoothie!
